ISI Case Study

Background

Industrial Services Inc. designs and builds systems for producing fresh water from seawater.  Their customers are over the world, frequently in time zones far removed from ISI.  The company is beginning to offer modular products in addition to custom design-build services.

The Work

Bluehouse Group designed a "configurator", which walks website visitors through configuring a modular desalination system.  Visitors select a product model, and then choose available options.  The system price on the screen refreshes automatically while the visitor selects their desired configuration.  When they're done, they can choose to receive a detailed proposal PDF within seconds, including complete technical specifications.  The configurator lives within a completely redesigned website which makes a strong statement about the company's readiness to do business globally. 

Additional features include:

  • Complete proposal history, so sales staff can have follow up conversations;
  • Help system for users of the configurator;
  • Glossary, dynamically linked to website content, and managed by ISI;
  • Content management system (CMS), so ISI can manage its online product catalog as well as website content.
