The independent film The Way We Get By was nearing completion when the filmmakers came to Bluehouse.  A thought provoking documentary that focuses on 3 senior citizen troop greeters in Bangor, Maine, the film needed an effective website to support the self-distribution effort. The website we developed became the cornerstone of a successful promotional strategy that included social media and national touring.

Bluehouse Group's website design drew attention to upcoming screenings, reviews, and accolades. The film trailer was featured as embedded video on the home page. The website's event calendar promoted screening dates and locations. An easy content management system (CMS) let the producers update the website daily.

The successful website was also a factor in the Bay Area Video Coallition (BAVC) accepting the film makers into their Producers Workshop. Josh Turner, Bluehouse Art Director, was also invited. The week long program in San Francisco turned out to be a tremendous experience for 8 filmmaker groups, who learned and shared ideas about the intersection of filmmaking and the Web.
